Look at all that viral spread. I thought the pandemic was in the can? Looks like Pence was lying when he said it would all be over by Memorial Day.
What is your excuse now Jethro?

I wouldn't worry about him too much.
Peddling prejudice on the internet is just something he
does in between his porn sites and TRUMP2020 Twitter feed for entertainment.

Bring on the big crowds again!!!!

Texas is experiencing a “massive outbreak” as Covid-19 cases multiply, Governor Greg Abbott said on Wednesday as hospital systems in the state’s biggest cities strained to handle the influx of patients.

Texas posted its worst day so far for new cases, with a jump of 5,551 to 125,921, according to the state health department. The 4.6% one-day rise exceeded the 3.7% seven-day average. Hospitalizations climbed by 7.3% to 4,300

“Our infrastructure is overwhelmed,” David Persse, Houston’s director of emergency medical services, said during a media briefing on Wednesday.

Earlier, Houston-area hospitals predicted they may exceed intensive-care capacity as soon as Thursday. Such an overflow will force hospitals to tap so-called surge capacity as patient numbers grow, according to Texas Medical Center data. At current rates of infection, sustainable surge capacity would be exhausted in another 10 days.

“There is a massive outbreak of COVID-19 across the state of Texas,” Abbott, who was among the most aggressive governors on re-opening, said during an interview with KFDA TV.

“The numbers are moving in the wrong direction,” Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said during a media briefing.

Houston police and fire departments will step up monitoring of taverns and clubs to ensure compliance with occupancy limits and mask requirements.

“We want to really crack down on people who are not adhering to the rules,” Turner said. “We want to create a board of shame for those who are violating the rules.”

A shame indeed.

I’m sure everyone realizes there is no longer a functioning national level of government to fix this.

Trump distracted, ignored, and dismantled it. His minions cheered and state governors followed suit.

Now that the nation is on fire, we’ll all get see up close and personal why we had coordinated national government in the first place.

What do you mean, what is my excuse? I think it's a hoax. A flu with a 98% recovery rate where 40% are asymptomatic.

a hoax you say? so all the people that have died made that shit up? Seriously are you fucking retarded?

Or you gonna say "they had pre existing conditions" blah blah blah ? The fact of the matter is you are a selfish asshole who only cares about YOU.

You fucking idiots who aren't wearing masks or social distancing need to understand that is not about YOU. It's about protecting everyone else.
Why is that so hard to understand?

I could be asymptomatic and spreading it everywhere I go.
Too bad, so sad.
I won't wear a mask unless I'm forced to.

ICU at Hillcrest, one of Tulsa's largest hospital systems is reaching capacity and starting to divert patients to other hospitals.
We are in the beginnings of a pinch.
I hope the chicken fuckers will start to wear masks in public buildings.

Amanda O'Dell Petersen is in Phoenix, Arizona.

I deleted my post yesterday out of fear that someone would try to find something wrong with the numbers I reposted and discredit my experience.

I wish I hadn't, because I had people tell me they didn't know it was that bad.

Sharing my experience opened someone's eyes.

Why is it that i can guess your political affiliation by how you react to mask wearing? This has become a political mess.

I beg you to reconsider.

There's a photo going around of hospital beds in the atrium of our third floor (where moms and babies are). It's not fake.

I'm tired of random people telling me I'm over-exaggerating our ICU numbers or how many COVID patients we are seeing. I'm tired of people not giving a crap because they personally don't know anyone who has tested positive, so therefore it's not a big deal.

Healthcare workers have been hung up to dry by our community, silenced by people who feel privileged enough to "exercise their rights" and go enjoy themselves at a bar bursting at the seams with like-minded people.

Negligent people who believe that since they found a few videos of doctors that held their beliefs, they would prove us wrong about wearing masks.

I wear a mask for 12 hours. So do my coworkers. We wear respirators that dig into our faces so hard we come home with bruising and sores.

You know what you anti-mask wearers don't see besides your own ignorance?

Overflowing ICUs.

People dying ALONE. And their spouse of 40 years says goodbye via Facetime.

People begging you not to let them die as they gasp for air.

Patients that come in stable one day and by your next shift they are dead.

Patients lying on their front side on a ventilator because proning is the only thing we can try.

One family member with their hands on the glass staring into their dad's room with desperation and tears. They can't go in. They have 15 minutes to look from outside.

Healthcare workers that go home at night and have nightmares. And panic attacks. And anxiety.

You cannot begin to comprehend the chaos that is ensuing at valley hospitals right now.

You know what you can do to help us? Wear a fucking mask. Learn how to wear one properly. Don’t touch it. Don't go out to crowded places for extended periods of time. Be more careful.

You will not get hypoxic from wearing a surgical mask for an hour while you shop. You will not have high co2.

Is it that difficult? And maybe stop discrediting our experiences. The point of slowing the spread is so that our hospitals don't experience what we are experiencing NOW.

We have utterly failed, because people are more worried about proving that they don't have to wear a mask or stay home from the bar.

Step back from spewing your political party nonsense for one second and look at what's really happening. It's not lies. Get over yourself.

We don't care about being called heroes. We care about the lives of people.

**The overwhelming support has blown me away. To clarify, I am a respiratory therapist. Working hard with my fellow nurses to give our patients the best care. We don't want to see you here. Your support helps ease the anxiety of coming home from this nightmare to two kids under 2 years old. Thank you from the bottom of my heart**

Newsflash.

Americans have been banned from entering the EU beginning 1 July 2020:because our present leadership doesn't give a shit about people or health or truth.

So it was an easy call.

Enjoy your stateside vacation.

And wear a mask in public places.

Asshole.

Looks like some places are pumping the brakes on reopening.
This hoax, this lie is really taking a toll on people now.
You weren't going to the EU anyway so don't act all mad.

A mask can't stop a virus.

Maybe when this pandemic has run it's course, and everyone dies that was going to anyway, you can erect a giant
bronze statue of a Covid-19 cell so you can remember and honor your history.

California is going back into lockdown. Looks like the 2nd wave is going to be far worse than the first.
It's just a matter of time before other states shut down again.
