Does Boris really believe that this election will bring an end to years of acrimony? Doesn't seem likely does it?

Fintan O'Toole has written a decent book on the subject.
It's political hooliganism, and it isn't just in England.

Bohannon wrote:Trump will also get at lease 4 more years, alas for the world.

Could you imagine? After all we've witnessed - from the Mueller investigation to the impeachment vote - it hardly seems possible, but the shameless, unaccountable, open venality of our politics and demagoguery of the masses would seem to virtually assure it.

Moscow Mitch McConnell's recent statement that the repugnicants are turning their votes on the Senate impeachment "Trial" over to Trump must be unconstitutional...ah, but so what?

He wants acrimony. He’ll get his first erection in about three decades when he turns the water cannons on protestors.

We are fucked.

Hello from New York City. It’s good here.

Because Boris Johnson is a far-right authoritarian who will do literally anything to stay in power.

It’s a media smokescreen to distract attention from the bonfire of consumer and employee rights, civil liberties, government accountability and public services currently burning in Downing Street.

It’s completely relevant and on point, actually.
How about you STFU and crawl back into the cave.

Happy Brexit Day.

Sad, really.
Meanwhile, here in the US, the acquittal of Trump looms. A point he will no doubt drill home in his State of the Union diatribe next week.

Hey, Dazz. Today I purchased a Brexit Party placard signed by Farage and Tice for £35. I will be framing it and hanging it on my wall.

there's a cretin crowd that lives on front street .
and getting your balls busted comes with that territory .
... but if they're truly happy at this juncture, good deal .

Curious what Brexit was all about? T'wasn't sure there were dumber cretins than our batch of wannabe politicians over here, but jolly 'ol England seems to be proving that theory wrong? I had the notion, many Brits thought brexit would bring much less immigration from the rest of Europe, yet now your gov't is inviting more than two and a half million Hong Kong folks to come to England for five years and become British citizens. Certainly not Europeans mind you, however i'd still like to ask y'all, wtf? Have Scotland, or Wales stated beforehand they'd take some, or is England shouldering them all, or perhaps they'll all be shipped out to N.Ireland, are plans in the making?

I'd prefer to hang our politicians, rather than having them endlessly hanging about.

A few years back I took a writing class at the local college. The subject for the semester was Monsanto and GMOs. I can't believe the shit they think is okay to eat. We had to watch the movie Food, Inc. You should too.

You won't be getting our shitty food, because the Chinese won't touch our crappy food either and with the influx you're about to get i think you'd better get used to chow and lo mein, anyway you like 'em, eh?

Appears to me the US is trying to get Boris' leash shortened, so he'll tow the line behind washingon's rhetoric over hostilities with China. However, that kinda puts Britain between a rock and a hard place, doesn't it? It certainly put's america behind the eight ball, because China manufactures most of our pharmaceuticals and practically everything else we consume, except our shitty food! However, our politicians can't see past their noses, nor their next paycheck, nor to they give a hoot about the folks they're paid to represent.
