Does anyone have a favorite brown bar?

Read Thaioneon trip reports. He wrote about many Amsterdam favourites.

And, not brown bars, but you might enjoy a couple of drinks at Cafe De Ceuvel, and Roest.

Just one? Hmmm. Every time I visit I dash back and forth between Gollem, Arendsnest and De Pilsener Club. Before they "upgraded" it, I used to really enjoy the tasting room out in Brouwerij het IJ.

They aren't exactly predictable... they look cute, but don't get too close...

I've never hear of Cogship before, UKBL. Is it a new one?

Ah, a pity! No idea how I missed it for so long - I'm sure I must have walked along that street a thousand times.

I have to sort of apologize... I thought it said 'Brown BEARS'... but I stand by my advice... :)

Just back from a week in Dam.
Apart from all the usual bars n brouwerij's I usually visit I thought I would introduce my old man to some new Brown Bars.
Café Papeneilend, De Doktor , The Pilsener Club , De Dries Flechjes and Café Brandon were all visited and I loved them all.
Check them out!

All regular ports of call for me (together with the Raamsteeg Gollum of course!) Hard work finding De Doktor open tho' (he seems to open when he feels like it) but well worth waiting for.
I never miss the Hoppe early evenings, great for people watching.

Been trying for years to get into De Doktor. Found out he normally goes skiing when I visit in Feb.
