My best night sky views were from the deck of an aircraft carrier near Samoa (has anyone seen the Southern Cross?) and from the northwest corner of Nevada when I was opal mining. Tracked the ISS from horizon to horizon one night.

Bev has seen the Southern Cross when she visited NZ. We track the ISS on occasion from the house. We usually have clear skies at night all summer long, cool stuff.

Yeah, there is alright. Get out to the coast in Kerry and its mindblowing. There's another few blanket layers of stars you didnt know were there. Havent seen its match yet!

Im not sure the above photo hasnt been fiddled in some way? It looks surreal. Some lunar aurora baurialis (sp) shit going on right there.
