I think the government should encourage and reward new ideas and technologies that bring about a cleaner environment though efficient use of plentiful resources.

And more importantly this would enable us to remove ourselves from participating in the proxy war between Saudis and Iran.(Sunni and Shia).

That would be golden.

In terms of oil import, we are getting there. In the link below, oil import is at its lowest since 1985. I agree with WC and SP... Royal Scam...

http://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.cfm?id=32&t=6

It's all a scam Banks and strictly how one manipulates the numbers, which the feds do with endless abandon. The 27% in your article is a net amount, which is minus what the US exported to other countries. However the amount of crude oil processed at US refineries was 44% imported, according to the same agency. Still, apparently lowest amount imported since 1985 tho. I found it interesting, that in my link they list the five top countries we imported from as Canada, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Venezuela and Iraq, but when posting a graph with the numbers replace Iraq, with Russia. Iraqi amounts must still be confidential.

alpha, what are you using for money?
What makes your car go?
How do you cook your food?
Do u shower or take a bath with warm water from your hot water heater?
Do you wash your clothes?
Do u sit at a table when you eat?

How much more simple can I make this for you?

I think they're talking about reducing dependency on foreign oil. What are you talking about?

I use my very expensive grown weed for barter. Haven't bothered with federal reserve dollars in decades.

modern roots wrote:What makes your car go?

I don't have a car, like the amish i still use a horse and buggy, buddy.

modern roots wrote:How do you cook your food?

I take my very expensive weed, which like you say is cheap as all get out and burn it to boil my water and roast my meat. Smoked cannabis ham for easter, ever tried it?

modern roots wrote:Do u shower or take a bath with warm water from your hot water heater?

Nope, don't own a water heater. I just burn more of my unbelievably cheap weed when i need to heat my water, see boiling it above.

modern roots wrote:Do you wash your clothes?

Of course, but i do it the old fashioned way of capturing rain water and using a scrub board to wash and the sun and a gentle breeze to dry.

modern roots wrote:Do u sit at a table when you eat?

Actually no, i eat on the run. When you're living off the grid you've got to keep a move on, so my cheap as hell weed remains super cheap!

modern roots wrote:How much more simple can I make this for you?

How much simpler is it, for a simpleton like you, that it's april fools day? Can you figure that one out?

My sincerest apologies Rudy, if this made you dizzy, vertigo is a very nasty thing!

I would, but i don't own a mirror either mr, not because of any vanity, but because it's way to smokey at my place. You'd never see your reflection thru the constant haze, from my really, really cheap weed, but so damn good i've got to toke it all day long, just to keep my stone aloft.

Either is correct. It's not a rule, it's a convention.

Everybody enjoys the occasional twat that rolls in and shakes things up.

Unfortunately, he became a tedious, relentless twat who shook it too much.

I believe Modern Roots is attempting to communicate that no matter how much you believe otherwise, you me and everyone else will continue to use carbon energy to heat our homes, drive our cars and grow our food.

We have no other choice. There is no magic when it comes to alternative energy solutions to date. Carbon is our present and future. We need it, despite the pollution it causes.

Otherwise we may as well go back to the days of the horse and buggy.
(if we are allowed to use horses as beasts of burden Mr. DeBlasio)
