Godzilla and Megalon tear up Tokyo

I always wondered... when Godzilla first appears on Mt. Fuji, how is it that one farmer looks up and yells "GOD-ZIRRA!!!" and the total human population of Tokyo immediately starts running?

good question...but I've always wondered why they run forward when it's obvious to me they should run to the side and around to escape.

i'd always assumed those funny little kids in hats and shorts
were taught monsterology in school

some weird creature bursting out of a volcano

Furthermore, how do they know he's "GOD-ZIRRA!!!" and when they knew he existed, why didn't they hunt his ass down and kill him? Those crazy Asians... they just live life on the edge.
