News outlets

Postby modern roots » Sat Oct 08, 3:10 am

So I've been filtering news outlets in my google news feed.
Needless to say I get very little news anymore. The U.S. news is dominated by 5 or 6 mega news outlets. They have a stranglehold on the people and dictate to them what the important news stories are. They're filled with opinion and commentary to tell consumers what to think and how to feel about any given news story. There are very few independent news outlets.
I got tired of the political affiliations of MSNBC, CNN, and Fox. All they do is tell a story through the eyes of the two political parties. It's essentially state run news like the U.S. says exists in countries like China and North Korea. You get zero libertarian, green, or other independent coverage from the major news outlets, it's all Democrat or Republican. No one, and I repeat no one represents my political beliefs and agenda and policy at the national or state level. The news literally sucks the shit out of democrat and republican assholes. I mean, they want to know everytime they fart. And will report it

Anybody else tired of main stream news?

Folks have been appalled by msm ever since the printing press was invented, purportedly to circumvent 'gossip'. Jack London railed on about it in the early twentieth century, as did Ernest Hemingway. Orwell wrote about it mid century. Its always been biased by who owns the media, which in america is in the hands of four corporations. However, american msm has to break the rules even further to keep from stamping all over the fake history they teach in schools.

Should you wish to try and keep up with the real news, m.r. try http://www.moonofalabama.org, which is a blog run by a german citizen who at one time was an officer in the american army among outer pursuits, who's specialty is to debunk american and the rest of the 'west's' msm news. There's a daily ukraine thread that solicits hundreds of comments daily from posters from around the globe, plus keeping up with their news and links on the open threads makes it easy to keep up with what's actually occurring on our planet. Once you've experienced a few debunking's with credible evidence and learn our actual history, thru countless links to support their claims, will 'the narrative' dissolve incredibly into no credibility.

"Education is mostly what we have unlearned" - Mark Twain

T'was the reason i left this forum. Too many deluded souls lost in a very fake narrative, that's now costing needless lives. Also, zero surprise this thread got zero responses since Oct. 8th, quite telling indeed.

Some reasonably minded people are quite capable from discerning shit from shinola. Intellect and awareness go a long way when you seek truth.

Quite true Cat, but imo one must grasp history as a whole, both recent and ancient like before you and i for instance to grasp what's occurring currently. What we learned in school has to be unlearned and watching the boob tube turns us all into boobs, just like our parents told us it would, remember?

I think the reason you don't participate much anymore is that no one listens to your babble of being a know-it-all when it comes to politics and history, when in fact you fall down every conspiracy hole you can find. If you were so right about things, shouldn't you be doing something for all of the rest of us 'deluded souls' and not sitting in your basement listening to 1000's of CD's all day long and reading Alabama?

I do, i report them here to you Banks and everyone else languishing their time in this forum and i do it by painstakingly, yet effortlessly multitasking my day, so y'all don't have to break your addictions with the boob tube. Or i used to, after the plannedemic t'was kinda apparent no one paid attention, which this forum is/was famous for.

And Banks, the rabble in my babble dabbles to ravel and saddle, not straddle honesty where msm is mostly "snews" as Bo rightfully refers to it.

And to steal Bo's old signature from yesteryear...

Peace,
Tonto Tkaronto

I suppose your brain is simply bigger than the rest of us. Are you saying you are a native?

Not me. I'm a native of nowhere but my mama's womb. The connotation however, was with regards to your 3,000th post on this forum and placed in the bar, in a thread you created.

I do remember that one too, my apologies for forgetting it, but you did transform it to peace at one time, or another didn't you?
