Why not address the cost of services.

Is payment for services rendered also "the choice of the individual" or do we all pay for the uninsured freeloaders?

Single-payer is HOW you address the cost of services.

You're paying for insured freeloaders right now with Medicaid. People in my state that qualify for Medicaid don't pay a monthly premium, it is "given" to them for free! Are you concerned about these freeloaders?

The payment for services rendered for people without insurance should be set up by monthly payments, just like a car or house loan. This is if they can't afford to pay in full.

You still haven't addressed the enormous costs of these hospital services. Don't you think capitalism is better served for the Amazons, Walmarts, and car manufacturers of the world instead of for a dying patient?

How does a single-payer health insurance system address the cost of services? I can see how it would bring down insurance premiums by offering a sliding scale of a monthly premium by income, but I don't see how single-payer would address the cost of a hospital stay or surgery.

Absolutely! With a Debtors Prison for those who fail to achieve
the financial requirements of the Stalag's administrators.
Work camps will also be generously provided for those who desire to expedite their
period of incarceration and re-enlightenment.

And satisfaction of said debt of course. Plus interest.

How much are health insurance companies worth? Any idea? Billions? Trillions? You think funneling them money is going to fix healthcare? Boy, you are touched in the head. Sit down and think a while and then come back and try again with another suggestion.

Because a single payer exerts downward pressure on prices due to its volume bargaining power, rather than a small number of purchasers being played off by an oligopoly of medical suppliers.

You don't have a clue. It won't bring prices down. Prices will go up. Just look how prices went up instead of down with Obamacare.

Obamacare isn't a single-payer system.

No, I suppose it isn't. Theoretically, prices should go down.

The old America is dying and MAGA exemplifies it's death throes.

Its a good sign that the usual monsters are out as it means the brewing social and political change is real and not hyperbole. Anyone disagree?

I'll believe old America is dying when we have $15 minimum wage, nationwide legalized cannabis, affordable (under $20k) electric cars for everyone, meaningful gun control, and military bases abroad are closed and the troops are home working in a private job and off the government dole. Until then, it's just business as usual.

Just like I already said...get off the government dole and my dime.
Our military is too expansive and too big and the defense budget is unacceptable and needs to be cut in half, at least!
