The economy is roaring back said Trump.

I know that, Cat. It's going to be all reclaimed jobs for the next few months. Remember, we were at record low unemployment levels before closing everything. It is still progress in the right direction.
And the stock market is looking good, currently right around 26,000. Can't beat that after it bottomed out at about 18,000 several months ago. Not even you can complain with these numbers.

Trumps Mad King George Speech

Trump continued his divisive and destructive campaign during his speech in Mount Rushmore on Friday, continuing his hatred for the American people in an address on July 4th, Independence Day.

As usual Trump ignored the CDC's warnings by holding a rally without any restrictions for social distancing or mandatory masks that likely will aid in spreading the virus further.

Instead of trying to inspire with words to lift our country's spirit, he offered up his King George hate-filled speech to a country falling apart because of his bungled pandemic response and intentional stoking the fires of anger by attacking those supporting a change in law enforcement after the George Floyd murder,

"American heroes defeated the Nazis, dethroned the fascists, toppled the communists, saved American values, upheld American principles and chased down the terrorists to the very ends of the earth. We are now in the process of defeating the radical left, the Marxists, the anarchists, the agitators, the looters, and people who in many instances have absolutely no clue what they are doing," he spewed.

Who's the one who is clueless? Trump is defending Confederate statues and their legacies over the lives of his citizens during a time of civil unrest.

Trump also attacked the American press by claiming they are slandering him by accurately reporting to the people his words and actions.

"You not only slander me, you slander the American people," Trump said.

Trump has slandered the entire history of our nation.

[King] George is condemned for, among other offenses, having refused to approve laws that are “necessary for the public good,” for bullying governors, for blocking reasonable legislative progress, for blocking immigration to the states, for “obstructing the Administration of Justice,” for bending the judiciary to his will, for seeking to make the military “independent of and superior to the Civil Power,” for conspiring “with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution,” “for cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world,” and for having “excited domestic insurrections amongst us.” Any of those grievances sound familiar?

People die everyday from cancer, I don't see you asking how many stock market points that is worth. Why's that?

Because no-one's suggested that cancer deaths are a reasonable exchange for a few stock market points.

I don't see the connection. People die everyday from various illnesses. You aren't up in arms about those deaths.
Those deaths don't fit your agenda.
You've been brainwashed.

He’s pretending to be thick because his callousness and inhumanity has been exposed and stupidity is the only refuge.

Fortunately, he’s exceptionally good at being thick.

Because the business owner would be in charge, not the government.

Where’s your evidence that libertarianism is better for the economy than a mixed economic model?

What happens when everything is a monopoly?

I read in last Saturday's washington post, that 1.4 million jobs had been added to the workforce lowering unemployment to below 10% for the first time since March. However, the government's views on unemployment have always been eschewed, because they only count folks who are collecting unemployment benefits, once that ends they're considered employed whether they have a job, or not. According to Shadowstats unemployment here is just beneath thirty percent, not ten. Depression kind of numbers that have been going on since our 'great recession'. Seems to me our 'great recession' has blown the wheels off the great depression of nearly a century ago. Yet our gov't continues to lie, because they have no other defense for their corrupt and quite criminal behavior.

Everything here is monopolizing, Daz, still coalescing as i type this. The united states has been privatizing other countries assets for decades and they are now privatizing american's assets, as there isn't much left to profit from. The more interesting question than what happens when everything is monopolized is what happens when everything in every country in the world has been privatized and therefore monopolized? Where has capitalism left to go? Mars, or perhaps our moon?

Voting for the third party here is the only way to convey a dislike for tptb. A ballot for either major party is a completely wasted vote and yet the vast majority of the electorate is too distracted to care.

Voting for a third party won't work. It's a choice between an idiot and an idiot fascist. In US politics, a third-party vote is a wasted vote. In future, when decideing where to spread freedom and democracy, you might want to start in the city on the hill.

Au contraire, that's american's only choice. Voting for the duopoly has historically shown their the wasted votes.

Dazzler wrote:It's a choice between an idiot and an idiot fascist.

Wrong again, it's a choice between two idiot fascists representing the same duopoly.

Dazzler wrote:In US politics, a third-party vote is a wasted vote.

Still wrong Daz, three for three. Voting for the wrong parties doesn't make a right, just as two wrongs don't make a right.

Dazzler wrote:In future, when deciding where to spread freedom and democracy, you might want to start in the city on the hill.

Which city is this? San Francisco? Cincinnati, Ohio (built on seven hills, similar to Rome)? However, hopefully not washington dc, where the us capitol is built on a small hill barely overlooking the city, which was built on a swamp. The first half of american history included trying to drain that swamp, or cover it over and they settled with the latter. The second half of american history has been the failed attempts of various presidents to drain the 'other' swamp, but their mired failures have only made it deeper. However, it serves a purpose for slinging mud at each other, each election cycle.

It's raining crap Dazzler.

And it's obviously been very difficult to see clearly for lots of folks in the US.

Hard work and perseverance can bring back the economy in fairly short order as usual.

This collective national brain damage may take generations to sort out though.

I had no idea how many ignorant piglets were behind the scenery waiting to spring into action.
