Do you believe in Due Process?

Postby NewYork, New York » Thu Sep 27, 3:36 pm

"Most of us will never know with any degree of certainty whether Ford’s memory is true or false.
So if we must play the part of juror in this unseemly public pseudo-trial, let’s be like the eighth juror in 12 Angry Men."

" It’s always difficult to keep personal prejudice out of a thing like this. And wherever you run into it, prejudice always obscures the truth. I don’t really know what the truth is. I don’t suppose anybody will ever really know. Nine of us now seem to feel that the defendant is innocent, but we’re just gambling on probabilities — we may be wrong. We may be trying to let a guilty man go free, I don’t know. Nobody really can. But we have a reasonable doubt, and that’s something that’s very valuable in our system. No jury can declare a man guilty unless it’s sure."

“You cannot depend upon memory,” Broaddrick says of the 35-year-old allegations. “You have to have evidence.”

Broaddrick believes the allegations against Kavanaugh are a politically concerted effort to thwart President Donald Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court.

She says Debra Katz, the attorney representing Blasey Ford “hates President Trump and this was just a way for her to come forward and help Hillary Clinton.” In 1998, shortly after Paula Jones accused Clinton of sexual harassment, Katz dismissed her claims publicly saying Jones’ accusations were “very, very weak.”

It’s “because of her political affiliation,” Broaddrick said.

Broaddrick also likened the #MeToo movement to a liberal political movement and said she is “not pro-Me Too.”

“The Me Too movement, to me, is for liberal women,” she said. “They want nothing to do with the Clinton victims.”

Due process has nothing at all to do with this - it is bullshit political theater, nothing more.
The fact that the rubes cannot grasp the distinction is precisely why it works.

Unfortunately the Democrats got what they deserved with their lackluster opposition of Kavanaugh, not only wasn't a single pussy hat at the protests, no group of zealots bothered to bum rush the hearings wearing comically large vagina costumes. The effort just wasn't there.
Progressives need to rededicate themselves to the principles of Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot and re-educate the proletariat force-ably if necessary that the only true government is an agrarian socialist society.

Can you even imagine how ridiculous and morally bankrupt your sneering, forelock-tugging cynicism is going to look in a few years' time?

Do you know how ridiculous it looks now?

No doubt I'll be among the first rounded up for the re-education camp under the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez regime.

You however are one of the small group of males that look totally natural in a comically large vagina costume, you've got that going for you.

Can you explain where in your article it states the British are anxious to embrace american football? Also, who in their right minds would fill a stadium to watch the jacksonville jaguars? Lastly, who'd want to play for a team like that? Having to play half your games in London and the other half over here? You'd have to really love jet lag to play for them, don't you think?

outside of the verbiage 'growing sentiment for an expanded NFL platform there' there being london
article doesn't make any mention of the british thinking on this, no .

You're the one seemingly promoting the NFL's expansion to London, from articles that say the NFL's interested, but nobody else, so you tell me?

I've experimented with sniffing the stuff and whereas it smells really good, it doesn't produce any physical effects at all.

I got involved when it was clear you were pandering for Roger, sp, but i was joking old friend, so please don't take it personally. What would be more interesting than the NFL in London tho, would be the premiere professional British soccer team, or teams visiting the US for exhibition style matches against the american professional soccer teams, eh?

Do you have something interesting or intelligent to say or do you just like to silently YELL
at anonymous people on the internet?

Regarding Due process. Michael Avenatti didn't seem to believe in it when he was busy accusing Kavanaugh.
I am willing to bet Mr. Avenatti now CARES VERY DEEPLY about due process, since his arrest.
