Nuremburg for Isis Fighters?

Postby Cat » Tue Feb 13, 5:38 pm

What to do with all those bloody foreign fighters held buy US backed Kurdish Democratic Forces in Syria? Syria has no established judicial system.
US Defense Secretary James Mattis doesn't want any sent to Guantanamo and the US doesn't recognize the jurisdiction of the Hague. British Secretary says he doesn't want any fighters stripped of British citizenship placed on trial in the Uk and there are an estimated 850 British alone who fought for Isis so what to do with all that lot? Root out the worst offenders as we did with Nazi's and place them on trial somewhere, but where? Execute the guilty or life in jail or some kind of rehabilitation? Can you rehabilitate a jihadi?

We still have all those 9/11 conspirators languishing in Guantanamo after dozens of pre trial hearings and any impending actual trial for masterminding 9/11 doesn't seem likely any time soon. wtf

So called "Beatles"....Ex Londoners Kotey and Elsheikh suspected of beheading and torturing 27 captives await justice.......with no nationality so no country to send them to.

I seem to recall reading a story about this situation a few weeks ago. The consensus in that article was that the bulk of them would be executed.

Funny how the US doesn't recognize a true court when they see one, isn't it? Can't see true justice thru a blindfold? Only the weight of gold sways a US court, eh, as the statue in front of the supreme court implies? And who knows how our secret courts work, we're not privy to that information. However, i believe we can suffice it to say they don't work with truth either.

Christians have been jihadists for seventeen hundred years, so i imagine the answer is an emphatic no.

It's really hard Cat, for a fake justice system, with no proof whatsoever, to convict people in front of actual defense attorneys. The fake justice system, with prisons for profit, will drag it out til the end of time to prove their point too.

They've been deemed terrorists by numerous organizations and is likely the reason our military looks upon them so fondly.

The Prosecutors Office in the Southern District of NY has an excellent record of convictions with Islamic terrorists, with "Blind Sheik" Omar Abdel Rahman and WTC bomber Ramzi Yousef amongst the more notable. We could and should try Kotey and Elsheikh if the British won't. Better to make an example out of them then just martyr them.

The Nuremburg trials made an example of failed ideology and the same should be done with present day Islamism. Its a humiliation as well as a condemnation.

I'd like to see that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a NYC Federal court for the rape and murder of Kayla Mueller amongst all the others who's lives he destroyed.

Let no good deed go unpunished then? Take a closer look at our allies who just handily whipped Isil and offer some credit where it's due Alpha.

Cat, America did more to create ISIS, when they stormed Iraq destroyed their government and security and left. Our military has 'donated' billions of dollars in arms and armaments to them, for the sole purpose of making profits for a handful of people, who value profits over humanity and quite certainly terrorism over diplomacy
.

Christianity should be included since their humiliating condemnation has been occurring for so much longer and i think we should throw in judaism, since they've shown to be quite cruel, when given a smidgen of power and a state of their own.

Religion and politics should never mix, as history has shown terrorism is the likely outcome.

1. Western powers get the fuck out of Central Asia and stop funding violence there (and yes, that includes Israel and KSA);

2. A multinational court composed of representatives of all affected nations constituted, similar to The Hague, but located in a neutral territory for the purpose of trying war criminals;

3. Netanyahu and Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud first up in the dock.
