Looks to me like just 6-7 post here anymore. But there are 100s of members. And many like NYNY no doubt voted for the -----moron. This place was over run with right wingers not long ago.

Moron----it's not my word. It's the secretary of state saying that. And then when asked several times on camera to deny he had said it he declined to do so.

What do the morons supporters have to say in response----Obama, Clinton, Obama, Bush, liberals, Clinton, Bush, moderates, the swamp.

They are critical of everything except the actual moron.

Does anyone worry about the bots?

Looks like the bellowing orange anus is really in for it.
Comey flays him whilst Mueller has him by the balls, Cohen has been neutered and the House GOP members are fleeing in droves.

My favorite line (lie, obfuscation, bleat) of the week was Sarah Huckabee Sanders calling Comey a disgraced partisan hack.
As if. The Jim Carrey caricature and tweet about her are spot on.

Fucking unreal. What a sick circus.

And no, the democrats will not save us.

I tried to tell you all.
He is indeed a dictator - thankfully without the support and willing complicity of the military, but a dictator nonetheless.
If the Senate Republicans and Tea Party holdovers in the House had any integrity (see my earlier post) it might be different.

Alas, they do not.

My hope is somewhere there is a Republican who will primary him, provoke him, and expose him all along the campaign trail. Make him run the gauntlet again, on his own record, and watch him writhe and wail.

Fuck him and his entire bullshit grifter family.

The rubes are to be pitied; they do not know any better. The dogwhistle appeals to them on a primal, visceral level. Fortunately, they are only thirty percent of the actual voting population. It will get better.

Kind regards,
Slith

Complete agreement. I see no easy way out. Without undoing and/or revamping the following : Term limits; gerrymandering. Citizens United; the Supreme Court; Lawyers in government etc.etc. there is no hope for america (small "a" intentional)

On and on and on it goes.
Do any of you watch YouTube replays of his rallies?
The most recent rallies in NC or Baltimore, for instance?
The rabid support of the base is something to behold.

Such farcical nonsense and gibberish - but the base laps it up like eager puppies eating their own vomit.

You should try to watch one complete and unedited some time. Then contemplate just what the GOP continues to aid, abet and enable. There is no meaning, no reason and no bottom to any of it.

Fucking unreal how far we have fallen

Trump is a dictator enabled and abided by fools.
You enable and abide him.
You are a fool.

I get it. You didn't vote for Trump. You're unhappy and there's nothing you can do about it. All you can do is go vote against Trump in next year's election. Until then you may as well get over it and move along. I've had to endure through countless years of having a president that I didn't vote for.
All that said, I'll say it again, Trump isn't a dictator, he's just not your choice for president. We don't elect dictators in this country, we elect a president every four years.
And if you have such a deep loathing for Trump then why do you watch his rallies and speeches?

If so, then why did Trump lose to the electorate by more than three millions votes, yet win the election, when democracy didn't elect him?
Imho, all of our past presidents who have been commander in chiefs have been party to crimes against humanity and a host of other crimes, including, but certainly not limited to, sanctioning other countries for political purposes, torture and terrorism, not only abroad, but within her own borders too. The american people have zero control of what runs america, none whatsoever, nor do they have much choice, but to grin and bear it, anymore.

I disagree with you alpha, there are consequences to each and every election. The citizens have a say with their vote. There are major differences between the political parties. You can find some agreement with the two parties like education and defense. Both of them will just throw money away at education and the military. The difference is in the climate talks and regulating businesses and other such topics as guns and abortion and health insurance.

I disagree. The "citizens", by a margian of over 3,000,000 votes, elected HRC for president. We do, indeed, have a dicktator.

Trump got 304 electoral votes and Clinton got 227.
Trump won fair and square.

Now if he could just stitch 2 truthful sentences together he would probably
win over a few more true believers, and the world would be a better place.

The fact is not all dictators arise via violent takeover, and some are indeed elected.
Fair and square, you say? Bullshit.
There will always be an asterisk after your boy Trump - precisely because of the known interference with the 2016 general election.

Your understanding and knowledge of these concepts is wanting at best, and willfully repressed at worst.

Taken as a whole, the factors underscoring the nature of Trump as dictator are indeed present. That is not to say we are living in a dictatorship, but, in reality, Trump seeks to rule as a dictator - exhibiting many of the classic characteristics - thus, by definition and action he is precisely that: a dictator. You may not agree, you may be naïve or ignorant of what you otherwise can plainly see and what you otherwise know to be true, but my point is valid. No, we do not have a Pinochet (which I have clearly indicated), but we are indeed laboring under the whims of a small faction of GOP enablers in the Senate, elected, but defiantly in support of the same.

For example: fomenting distrust among the citizenry, attempted censorship and manipulation of the media, human rights abuses, a cult of personality and attendant divine worship as supreme leader, attempts at centralizing power and seizure of that power for the benefit of self, family and political allies - need I continue?

We do indeed have a dictator - but to our credit and benefit he has not been able to completely destruct the foundations of our democracy. But not for want of support and lack of trying.

His enablers in government and the judiciary have convinced him that Article II gives him "the right to do whatever he wants." The separation of powers and traditional democracy be damned. This is nothing more than unitary executive theory as viewed through the prism of Federalist Society fuckery.

His evangelical supplicants believe he was given to us by God ("I am the chosen one!"), in order to save the country.

His business instincts and self-dealing demonstrate a sincere belief that the power of the executive allows him to treat our country and the world as his own private candy store. Which he regularly, continually defiles in the manner of a bull in a china shop. Emoluments Clause, anyone?

His minority base is sufficient to provide a substantial number of electoral votes, and this - coupled with foreign interference which he continues to brazenly, openly court and flout - makes the prospect of his reelection very real. Fuck Facebook, Twitter, and Cambridge Analytica.

The GOP has been silent throughout and will continue to remain so because their own individual political fortunes and dwindling grip on legislative power depends upon it. Most especially in the Senate. Theirs is a Faustian bargain that will eventually play itself out and die a shameful, historical death.

Regarding the ongoing investigation and impeachment inquiry, it would be nice just to deeply and thoroughly investigate all of it - at the state, federal and international level - thereby fully revealing and humiliating him and his cadre of symbiotic hucksters, supporters, enablers and fellow grifters. This is the real value of any impeachment process, as we well know the Senate would never openly convict and even if they did, the fat orange fuck with the stupid hair and a mouth like a blow-up sex doll would tweet out to his minions ("Hoax! Witch Hunt!") and refuse to leave. Although I must admit, that would be quite something. ("Lock him up! Lock him up!") That would be truly draining the swamp.

Remember Benghazi? Hillary testified openly for around eleven hours. Do not forget that.

I am not a Hillary fan.
I am not a Trump fan.
I love my country.
I decry what it has become.

We are better than this.

Well, most of us, anyway.

America is so fucked. What you have going on here is a true constitutional crises not at all unlike the one we almost had during the nixon reign, The difference is that The SCOTUS back then ruled that the Executive branch MUST comply with the subpoena of Congress. With the way that the SCOTUS is now packed (Kavanaugh) I doubt that that will happen this time. The only way out that I see is to vote the orange blob out of office. Unfortunately there is no way to fix the damage that he has done..Fucked I say!

Why does he keep saying that senators should be impeached? Hasn't any of his people told him yet?

He'll be impeached in the House and I if conditions allow through testimony and investigation, he might get convicted by the Senate as well if reasonable minds get fed up enough. Yes, they're cowed but there is still a possibility he could get damed in the Senate as well because we all know what those frightened GOP bootlickers are saying behind closed doors about Trump.

Trump isn't omnipotent, he just thinks he is. He's broken the law having gone against our constitution and now he's going to pay. Everything Trump says is meaningless so don't get intimidated by it. Its his pathological narcissim talking, thats all.
