Worries about Conflict of interest

Postby NewYork, New York » Wed Nov 16, 12:17 am

Watching MSNBC right now, report is about potential conflicts of interest with Trump's personal businesses
when he becomes President. Rightly so.

The liberal guy just said the phrase "NO Double standards for Donald Trump". Correct again.

However, when conflicts of interest and double standards were mentioned about Hillary during the campaign,
this station, NEVER brought them up.

Why can't everyone be held to the same standards, regardless of their political views?

Also, Elizabeth Warren says Trump is "too close to Wall St."
Really Liz? Really? You apparently saw no closeness when you were out there campaigning for Hillary.

Absolutely amazing that these media types & politicians only see evil and conflicts in their opponents.

Bernie was (and is) right. We do need a revolution. Throw them all out (including most of the media)

Trump sold himself as an anti-establishment, anti-banker destroyer of the billionaire-controlled status quo. That's why it's important.

So the guy who maybe US Treasurer is from GOLDMAN SACHS (how is that a good idea again?)

You know the same company that Ted Cruz's wife works for that Trump talked shit about? Remember all that nonsense?

Why is ok for Trump to associate with Goldman Sachs and not Cruz? So much for "Draining the Swamp" He left all of the worms and leeches.

Oh and how about Rudy Guilani and his paid speeches from Iran,Qatar,Venezuela.

NYNY weren't you bitching about how much money the Clintons collected from their paid speeches? lol

yes doublestandard indeed

or willful ignorance

I clearly stated Trump should be held accountable for any conflicts of interest in my statement.

You conveniently forgot Hillary was PAID a fortune for giving speeches to Goldman Sachs.

BTW, I am no fan of Goldman Sachs.

To make this simple NYNY

Why is it ok for Trumps team to make paid speeches and associate with lobbyists but not Hillary?

Mincing words with the Mince-Meister?

I don't mince words. You have me confused with someone else with a liberal point of view.

To make it even simpler, this is what I originally posted:

"Watching MSNBC right now, report is about potential conflicts of interest with Trump's personal businesses

You, as well, failed to mention Hillary or the wads of cash she received from Goldman Sachs UNTIL I brought it up.

Keep on defending the indefensible you dolt.

Interestingly, in 2017, PEOTUS in tow, you seem to be becoming less and less of a twat and more of an asshole.
Thanks for restating the obvious; I think everyone might have missed it the first time.

Sorry dickweed, but your reading comprehension sucks.

I was responding to Nemesystem's comment about "WTF are you talking about". It sure looks like nemesystem (and YOU) don't see where I am stating the obvious about conflicts of interest. I don't care which party is in power. These conflicts keep on growing like weeds. Apparently you failed to see them during the Obama reign. Just yesterday it was reported Obama's best friend received accommodations in a business deal that NOBODY ever gets.

You probably don't care since it is only Obama's crony, not one of Trumps.

And to keep it simple for you AGAIN, here is the first few lines of the article about Obama's bestie:

"A close pal of President Obama will be able to buy the for-profit parent of the University of Phoenix after federal regulators cut him and other buyers a major break, The Post has learned.

Marty Nesbitt — a Chicago business mogul who is widely considered Obama’s best friend — has won a loosening of stiff capital requirements that had threatened to derail the $1.1 billion deal for him and his partners, according to public filings reviewed by The Post.

The lowered capital strictures, quietly eased by the Department of Education in an unusual regulatory move last month, effectively seal the pending agreement by Nesbitt’s private equity firm, Vistria Group, to buy University of Phoenix owner Apollo Education at a fire-sale price, critics charge."

Rudy, as your usual MO, insult and act like a dick, when words fail you.
You Call me a waste of time? Grow up. You and nemesystem are examples of
Why it is nearly impossible to have any hope for a decent political conversation on these
Boards or pretty much anywhere in the US today.
My crime was to call out any politician for conflicts of interest. I called out both Hillary AND Obama AND
Trump. In response you act like the incredible prick that you are.

Great job.
