Be Careful of What You Ask For.

Postby Rudy » Tue Nov 08, 4:18 pm

Yep. I did it. I vote at a church about 1/2 mile from my home.
It was loaded up with people voting. A small line even. Very unusual.
Lots of angry looking white middle aged people voting. I thought to myself..."Trump voters making America Great?"
I know one of the guys running the election operations, but he still insists on seeing my ID.
Says he could get thrown in jail if he doesn't check it. I think "Right on, no dead people voting here..."
Fuck the place is packed. People bellied up to the cardboard voting cubicles like pigs at the trough. Fuck me.
Lots of State questions and bills, judges to get rid of, etc...
I finally get to the little kiosk and do my duty. I make my choices and decisions.
I walk up to the voting machine being manned by an agreeable looking elderly lady and insert my ballot.
It is rejected at once and a little red light starts flashing. The lady examines my ballot and sees that I have added the name
"Buster Hymen" to the bottom of the Presidential list and blackened in a small box beside it. She looks puzzled for a second,
but then looks up at me in a rage and slaps me on the chest. She says something like "what the hell are you up to you jackass?"
and she encourages some angry looking redneck types to escort me out of the building and "straighten me out" in the parking lot.

Just kidding.
That last part was a complete lie.
Everything went AOK.
It was busy though. And now its over.
Whew.

The most important thing on the ballot in Colorado is a death with dignity/doctor assisted suicide measure. I voted yes twice. If it doesn't pass it means setting up shop in Oregon when the time comes.

voted

in our little local voting place (in the building i live in none the less), it is alway easy - voted here over 30 years. never more that a 5 minute wait in any election.
mate voted in the afternoon 90 minute wait! Lines out the door! I voted after 7pm still had about a 45 minute wait - they even ran out of "I Voted" stickers! lol there was singing, and laughing and a lot of happy people. Guess they were all with her.

Nice story there Rudy. Well written.

Why do I always seem sarcastic when i'm trying to compliment someone?

Anway, a vote for either candidate was a spoiled vote.

I wonder does Hillary intend to do the dirty on Bill in the Oval Office if she wins.

I'm watching this shit unfold here. 1:30am.

After what happened in the UK in June I thought that things in regard to voting couldn't get any worse.

How wrong can you be?

If Hillary had mended fences with Sanders and selected him as her VP choice, who knows?
That is the only chance Hillary ever had. You knew it even then - and here you have it.
True to form, she could not even be gracious in defeat.

The upside? No more Clintons.

The silver lining? Cannabis won big.

Crazy.

I didn't. His election was Brexit on steroids, so I'm surprised you don't approve of him.
I wish Trump lots of luck. I fear his likely cabinet choices like Rudy Giuliani more than I fear Trump himself.

I must admit, I'd have loved to have seen the sick look on Hillary Clinton's mush when she realised the electorate had fucked her off, but Trump worries me! ... He's obviously a fuckin' nutter!

Please tell me he can't start World War III without some safeguards being in place?

Peace, Des.

They have bigger things to worry about. At the very least medical is going nowhere.

Well we freckled the bowl this time.
Angry old school whites trying to shake things up before they check out I guess.
I am a bit surprised, but living here in Oklahoma, I saw the signs...
Democracy is a strange animal. Thank goodness it is a fairly slow moving one.

Well said. I have been saying it for years now, No more Bushes. No more Clintons.

Not entirely sure if Trump's victory is a good thing. Only time will tell.

Thats ridiculous. Trump is a wild card. Nobody knows what will happen. The pundits and the predictions, the polls were all for Hillary.
Lets at least see what happens in the next few months. If Hillary had won, I would take the same wait and see approach.

I sincerely hope and pray that everyone, especially Barbra Streisand, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, etc. who said they would
leave would go ASAP.

Our system is each 4 years we elect a new president. We all get a chance to vote. We aren't always happy with the result.

However, to threaten to leave the USA, because you don't like who was elected, is infantile and not the way the USA operates.
IF you want to leave it is your choice. Just don't talk about it. DO it.
