redoing a state sanction election because the outcome don't fit, really comes off as 3rd world .
whatever happen to the attitude?? when life hand you lemons, make lemonade .

So you think we should happily settle with election results from an election built on a complete lie?

It just isn't going to work. Runaway Nationalism just ends in World War.

According to MHD, The Netherlands is the greatest nation ever devised... so you should move there... you'll still be in the EU... :)

Present Brexit explained by Rob Slane's blogmire.
Rob Slane wrote:There are a number of parties. One of them wants to take us out, but there are some within that party that didn’t want to take us out, so they were kicked out by the man who just came in. In order to get us out, the man who just came in tried to get himself out, so that he could then get back in, in order to take us out. But he was thwarted by the other parties, who despite wanting him out, kept him in because they fear that if he gets out, he will then get back in and will then take us out. But if they can keep him in long enough, and prevent him from taking us out, they figure that soon after he has failed to take us out, they will be able to get him out and get themselves in. And then after he gets out and they get in, they may try to take us out or they may try to keep us in. It’s anyone’s guess. Then again, it’s entirely possible that if they do get in, they might try to get us out, then campaign against their deal for taking us out to try and keep us in. It really is that simple.

That's the kind of infantile anti-intellectual shite that puts people off thinking and talking about Brexit. Fuck these amateur comedians.

I kinda agree Dazzler, using humor about impending doom, but i thought his repertoire somewhat fitting in this case. However, it's your comic PM whose shutting down the talking and thinking, especially amongst the folks most needing to do so, your parliament. Everyone knows he's doing it to protect his and your elite's offshore wealth, amongst other hidden agendas, including further eroding your freedoms.

Seven and a half more weeks and looks like you'll be on your own. Best of luck, as i sense you may need it. I was with des several years ago when your vote occurred, but the way your government has handled it, or lack thereof, it appears you were apparently the correct one all along.

I think I was in a bit of a bate when I wrote that. There's nothing wrong with Brexit humour at all and some of it is quite funny, but this sort of thing just serves to confuse people and distract them from its reality.

There was no way this - or any other Tory - government would have handled this any differently. I appreciate that there are arguments for leaving the EU, but for Des - a working-class socialist - to argue that a far-right Conservative government should take us out of Europe? Well, it's quite dispiriting to see that.

And I really, truly wish I hadn't been right about this.

What lie are you talking about?
There was a vote put to the people and the majority voted to leave. The numbers in the election don't lie. Now get over it and move along.

Boorish Johnson has come back from Brussels with a ‘new’ withdrawal agreement (which in reality is the same one with all the controversial stuff kicked down the road) and is going to put it in front of Parliament who are sitting on Saturday for the first time in 37 years. it’s unclear as to whether it’ll be passed, and if it does, what it’ll look like when it’s done.

If the agreement is not ratified by Parliament, Johnson is forced by primary legislation to ask for another extension, which the EU are currently pretending won’t be granted but which everyone thinks will be.

The only thing that’s certain is that Johnson will use whatever happens to boost his monstrous ego and grab more power for himself and that the tyrants and despots behind him will use him to turn the England (minus Scotland, NI and possibly Wales) into a dictatorship.

On balance, no. But the problems the respective countries are facing aren’t as different as you might think and in many cases have the same people hovering in the background.
