I believe Modern Roots is attempting to communicate that no matter how much you believe otherwise, you me and everyone else will continue to use carbon energy to heat our homes, drive our cars and grow our food.

We have no other choice. There is no magic when it comes to alternative energy solutions to date. Carbon is our present and future. We need it, despite the pollution it causes.

Otherwise we may as well go back to the days of the horse and buggy.
(if we are allowed to use horses as beasts of burden Mr. DeBlasio)

You can see decades, centuries into the future and predict all future technological innovations?

Then you are both seers and visionaries beyond anything humanity has ever seen.

(Reuters) - An Israeli company says it has developed technology that can charge a mobile phone in a few seconds and an electric car in minutes, advances that could transform two of the world's most dynamic consumer industries.

Researchers from Virginia Tech have developed a way to drastically cut the time and money necessary to produce hydrogen fuel. By using discarded corn cobs, stalks, and husks, they have improved on previous methods deemed too inefficient by energy experts. Their research, which was funded in part by Shell, was published today in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences .

we are in the transitional space - move into the future and hopefully by the time we are gone the carbon dependence will have also almost been totally replaced.

This world won't replace oil and automobiles in another 100 years.

Perhaps automobiles will be around in another 100 years, but according to our mechanical engineers the oil will run out in forty years, at present day consumption, which after all is constantly on the rise as the planet becomes more and more industrialized.

Is there any chance of your saying anything interesting or entertaining or are we just to expect bald statements of opinion unsupported by any evidence or wit?

I just unplugged the refrigerator to save electricity. My central unit has been off for seven weeks and I just got rid of the cable box and unplugged all the electrical cords. Haven't even cranked my car in two whole weeks now.

Keep that fridge door open to dry out or it will stink like hell.

Why can't you just sell weed? You could make a fortune selling $50 oz's for $200 or more anywhere by the truckload.

Maybe a survival show on the Discovery Channel would be more lucrative

Doesn`t your wife cringe at the `frown strains` in the linen wash?

No! ... I learnt how to wipe my arse properly when I was 3 years old!

Peace, Des.

The biggest drawback to going Commando isn't 'Richard Widmarks' in your keks! ... It's when a nad makes a bid for freedom down your trouser leg and gets crushed to fuck when you get in the car!

This is especially true in warm weather!

Also, you have to remember to shake all the drops off if you're wearing grey or beige coloured pants!

Peace, Des.

Well yeah! ... But forgetting when you've got dark coloured keks on is a 'MEH!'

Forgetting in grey makes you look like a senile old cunt who's lost control of their bladder!

Why is it Des that I know way more than I ever needed or wanted to know about your rather busy bottom and rustic hygienic proclivities?
