WTF is Going On In JAPAN? Anyone? ...---...

Postby Rudy » Wed May 18, 8:02 pm

Absolutely no headlines about a MAJOR NUCLEAR CATASTROPHE occurring on at Japans Pacific coast.
WTF?!?
I don`t see any news or ongoing discussion about this very serious event.
I had to dig around to find a few minor articles, but nothing of any note or substance.

Even the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has nothing new to offer.
http://pbadupws.nrc.gov/docs/ML1107/ML11077A007.pdf

WTF?

All I see are silly political news teasers, Syrian sanctions(heh) and lurid details about Arnold Schwangerbangers proclivities with some whore.

Why is no one screaming bloody fucking murder about this ongoing disaster/crime in Japan?

Sure, they have suffered a terrible earthquake and tsunami, but it is time for action, not denial.
Breaking News:
The whole fucking Fukushima reactor plant is apparently melting into the planet and nobody wants to break this news to the public.
Hello?
Officials are saying they plan on "bringing it under control" by January.
Excuse me?
The numbers and spin on this thing is tragically hilarious.
Bring what "under control"?
These fuckers are creating and dumping massive amounts of dangerous radioactive material into the ocean and making up numbers as they go to cover ass.
They still can`t even bring themselves to share with us with certainty which unit is releasing the most toxins.
This is a total breakdown in what was believed to be a highly regulated industry, and a state of the art fail-safe system for producing energy.
This is also another tremendous ecological disaster.
I guess if you can`t "see" it, like we could with the Gulf oil debacle, it is not attention grabbing or important enough to report.

Meanwhile, a frightened and confused world focuses on Arnold`s silly dick for comfort.

You must have been reading my mind. I was wondering the same thing. We have Japanese relationship managers that work for our Company who act as liaisons between our office and our Japanese clients.

Not a peep out of them.

yes and so will we.

was at a convention over the weekend, partially sponsored by a Japanese beverage company. Organic herbs and pure water from Japan.

I bit my tongue not to ask about the radiation contamination. REALLY?? you think people really want to drink Japanese water and herbal beverages???

I also read that Canada shut down their radiation detectors - because they did not know what to do with the increased radiation information they were receiving. Another version of out of sight out of mind.

Everyone is too busy wanking over their IPhones and fictitious Navy Seal operations. And that's the way the media would rather keep it.

If this is accurate, this is monstrously foolish and irresponsible. What could they be thinking? It brings to mind the lyric from Epitaph by King Crimson.

"The fate of all mankind it seems.. is in...
the hands of fools."

I'm surprised that there aren't any fake news stories about how our government is pushing of a full status. Or at least some public outcry about the lack of information we are receiving.

Fukushima was built by GE. GE brings good things to life! They also own NBC, a major news outlet.

If you want a motherload of information about the Fukushima situation, check out this site. It's a bit like Drudge, with links to headlines. Look for the column on the left that says "Japan Nuclear Disaster".

Every crisis is forgotten after a month or so by the media. Not saying it's right, but I'm not surprised Japan is rarely mentioned now.

Japans owns a huge pile of US bonds. If they sell to fund the recovery in japan then that puts even more pressure on the US economy and currency.

The Japanese don't wish to cause panic so they don't want to talk about the local problems and the US is too busy talking about Donald and theater performances to be worried about serious stuff it seems.

Maybe the US is advising South Korea. Maybe the Chinese figure the radiation cloud will be subdued and dissipated by their pollution cloud.

Its the way of the 'News' its more sensational to report the frisky nature of the Chief of the IMF, than the impending end of the world.
Doesn't anyone else see the irony, collectively we gave Japan the worlds first taste of Nuclear devastation-will they give us a lasting memory of what it means to the rest of us?

In regards to the french guy at the helm of the IMF (now resigned, so formerly head of), frankly I'm more interested with EMF and what happened to them, than the IMF!

You're welcome! Yeah, the site is a bit cheesy looking, and I'm sure a lot of people consider Jeff Rense to be wingnut, but I like looking at the newslinks, nonetheless.

"Measures to deal with groundwater contamination were newly included in the latest road map."

http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/dy/national/T110518005659.htm

Yeah. It seems like any news that comes out of this is very distressing.
It`s no wonder everyone is being so tentative and quiet. There is really no positive progress to report.
TEPCO is pretty much "dead in the water", and the situation is too costly and dangerous for anyone else to step in and volunteer help.
There is no containment.
They are essentially hosing down the breached buildings and letting the contaminated run-off drain into the ground and sea while the "experts" wring their hands from afar and devise "road maps".

I suppose before this is all over the board of ministers will perform sepuku to right the situation?

Thanks for the site Beelzebozo.

Oh well. Unlike the dinosaurs who were destroyed by asteroids or climate changes or some other bizarre event, our species will ultimately destroy itself...perhaps sooner rather than later.

Best thing is to make the most of your remaining time. Don't spend so much time on internet forums. According to the Mayan calendar, we only have about 18 months anyway.

Cheers!!

two different groups vying to be correct when it comes to the end.. lol

if anyone wants to take bets - i would go for the december 2012

as opposed to this weekend. but hey,

suppose any day is a good day to die.

enjoy!

btw
the mayans call it the end of time..
there are rumblings from NASA about the planet losing it's wobble, the poles rapidly moving and the potential for the earth to reverse it's rotation-- that would certainly be the end of time as we know it. of course that would be the end of electricity as we know it too. utter chaos..

now

have a great day! : >

If you are a "glass-half full" kinda guy, you might instead say "We have fulfilled our useful lifecycle as a species" instead

Yes. The end of gravitiy as we know it. Where the string expands to its limit and starts to yoyo backwards into time.
What a quantum rush.
A great time to be alive and then, ...whatever.

I`ve had a fabulous life, fuck it.

I`ll pass on the current radiation sickness though.

I wonder how the Hab Theory of glacial accumulation squares with the Gore Theory of glacial melting.

I suppose too far in either direction can tilt things
