Smoking hiatus
Well, I haven't smoked weed in 36 days. I'm clean and sober.
I even stopped smoking cigarettes over 3 weeks ago too!!
I have much more money and something to show for it. Now all my spare money isn't going up in smoke.

Heh, I had to google Arthur Murray.
I'm afraid I've got two left feet.
I prefer to ride my bike.
Since it's winter I've been riding my indoor exercise bike. I've lost almost 10 pounds since I stopped smoking and started riding again. I hope to lose a little more weight. I gained some added pounds in 2020 that I need to get off.
I suppose dancing would be a good way to burn some calories with all that constant movement.

I just tightened up another belt hole..the results are noticeable..
Here's for healthy living, exercise, and a clean diet...

Well, I've added another week to my sobriety and I'm still off the cigarettes.
I'm continuing my diet and exercise plan and I've lost another five pounds bringing my total to 13 pounds lost in three and a half weeks. I feel better and sleep better.

Re: Smoking hiatus
Another week without ganja bringing the total to 57 days.
And no cigarettes.
I weighed again Saturday. I've lost 16 pounds in the first 28 days. Still got a ways to go, but I'm off to a great start!!
Any of you dieting and exercising?

Not me, winter time. I try to diet the other three seasons. Winter is for chocolate, to get thru the too short days. Exercise is also on the wain this time of year, but plenty of time to catchup during the spring, summer and autumn.
Your diet sounds great and i can see the point of quitting the cigarettes, they're a nasty habit, but why the cannabis, too addicted? Cannabis and me will remain true friends until their ends end, friend.

I just needed the money for other things. I've done a remake of my bedroom, which wasn't cheap. I'll find my way back to my dear friend, cannabis, but I've got to buy a new bicycle and phone first. The bike is going to cost about $600 or $700 and the smartphone will be another $200. So I should be back to toking in a few months. Plus, I can now pass a drug test for a job. I had to get clean to pass a drug test!!

Well, alpha, you'll be glad to know I can partake of the ganja again. I got the new job today. It's less than a mile from my townhome. .8 tenths of a mile away!! LOL!!! Less than a 5 minute bike ride. Won't even have to crank the car for this job. I'm stoked!!
I've made it 67 days with no weed as of today, but I'll be toking it up before much longer!

Now I'm down 20 pounds and 2 inches off my waist since January 16th.
Another 20 pounds and I'll be to my target weight.
Biking shreds calories!!

Now I've been off weed 87 days and off the cigarettes for over two months!! I'm going to keep up the smoking hiatus so I can pass a hair follicle drug test. It takes six months to pass a hair follicle test!! I've got my eye on a job that tests hair, not piss, so I've got almost another three months to go. Wish me luck!!

I've been off for over 7 years. Life is boring without, I don't sleep as well, and can't seem to find dreams to dream of. All that is going to change this year when I get to a place where it's legal: Michigan. Otis

My goodness, Otis, it's been quiet a while for you. Good luck with your move to Michigan, and enjoy the legal weed.

Re: Smoking hiatus
I hope to do some casual sailing in Michigan. I sailed and raced my heart and body out in San Francisco Bay, which is a most thrilling place to race. Very high winds and lot of traffic, currents, and blustery cold winds. Now, that was good fun! A heap-big helping of thrills a-plenty. I'll never forget jibing a spinnaker in 35 mph blow on an Islander 36 "Luna Sea" just after coming in under the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay. Just before that I tightened and checked my straps on my PFD figuring we were going to be slammed down and end up in the water. That was actually pretty scary.
But I'm older now, and am content with lesser-thrills I suppose. Near-death experiences are just not as much fun like they used to be. I'd be quite content, I think, with just kicking back and smoking some. 7 years is a long time to quit.
The last day I raced the wind was blowing on a beaufort 9 rating. I never thought we'd make it in safely. That day I saw a fender attached to our boat as we were coming in to dock in Sausalito, blow straight up in the air like a hot air balloon and tug at the line it was attached to. Once I saw that, I retired from racing and never came back. That was another scary day. Pushing the living-limits is a past hobby.

Re: Smoking hiatus
After a 6 month hiatus I reunited with the ganja today. Bought me a little dime bag of some local homegrown weed. Great smell. No seeds. Tiny popcorn nuggets.
Boy, it sure is nice to be smoking again.

Been almost 7 months since I've smoked weed. Don't miss it a bit.
Y'all just keep throwing your money away. I'll stay sober.
Haven't had a drop of alcohol in over a year!

Just think of all the money people waste on weed and alcohol.
And for what?? A fleeting, momentary buzz or high?? I've seen the light. Now I've got money to spend on other stuff or save.
