I sincerely think that helping people in the situation we are talking about is a noble gesture. I've been involved with and currently volunteer for 3 different organizations primarily focused on child cancer victims and care. I don't feel I give them enough of my time, energy, or financial help and i will remedy that soon. Not one of the families involved, of which the majority are working class people who live around and below the poverty level and who are as poor as can be asked anyone to buy them a house. I think the campaign is deceptive and uses people.

You could have just said that from the beginning.

it still wouldn't have been true but at least you could have expedited this mess.

Banks wrote:I looked through the links I was sent regarding the sanctuary, in particular the Indiegogo funding site. From my understanding, whoever starts a funding campaign can decide to either give the money back to the contributors if they don't reach their goal, or they can choose to keep the money themselves (I believe they do this before the campaign starts as part of the process). For example, if the goal is $325,000USD, and the campaign raises only $200,000USD, you have the choice to give the money back to the contributors or keep it anyway (you will have to pay taxes on whats left after the website takes their cut). It was chosen to keep the money.

As you are the campaigner, MHD, am I correct in my understanding of how this works?

I was the lead on the team and it was my idea to begin with. We raised less then 2K and the campaign was over more then 3 months ago. I spent all the money on hookers and drug binges. Now you know. Thank you for being the moral police and looking out for the poor and helpless. I hope you can move on now?

I watched that little smart ass on CNBC. It bothers me when I see successful people that have no compassion or empathy. I think he suffers from a special kind of narcissism or perhaps he has never experienced any sort of real loss in his life.

Banks - Come to Colorado and visit, flights are cheap. We all have a good time here and one thing I am sure of, it is better to be smoking with us at HIGH altitude than pissing on each other online. You could call the area between Oldfart, MHD and me the Green Triangle since it contains most of the best parts of the state. Come see for yourself.

Thanks SD... we have reservations for Sturgis next year already, and it looks like the Denver area is about 6 hours ride from Deadwood... pretty good chance we'll ride down on our way back east... hopefully we can catch up... although MHD and OF might take me out back and beat me with cactus branches... :)

The Black Hills are lovely 51 weeks of the year. Sturgis is the 1 week exception. If you like being around a lot of people and seeing shit out of date acts with questionable original band members on crappy stages and paying through the nose for the privilege, then by all means enjoy yourself. One of the big campgrounds burned down (Full Throttle?). If you go in July you can have the entire place to yourself and truly experience one of the great places in America.

We will only be dealing with the craziness of Sturgis for the opening couple days staying right in the middle in a hotel...I made a commitment to my best friend that if I bought another Harley we would do Sturgis... but the real draw of the trip is riding the Black Hills and surrounding areas. The wives are flying in to meet us for those days, and then we will be on our own... would like to roll down to the Denver area on the return trip...

$15 an hour is a decent minimum wage for this day and time as some select cities have shown us.
Best way to pay trimmers is based on production though. More incentive to work fast and efficiently. Couldn't imagine paying someone $120 a day for trimming less than 5 pounds of weed over 8 hours. Couldn't meet those demands then I'd have to fire you and replace you with someone serious about the job.
All this shit like , "look, I trimmed 2 ounces of weed today" would have to go.

That poses an interesting question m.r. Bo and milehigh agreed on fifteen an hour, but i wonder what either expects in the way of production for an eight hour shift? And how tight the trim? I've seen a couple really talented trimmers, but sadly i'm not one of 'em.

I think that would depend on their level of experience and how quickly they pick up the trimming process.

each grower has their own way of trimming
shit I'm lucky to be able to trim an oz every couple hours.... (at least that's what I think it takes me.. havent really timed it) yeah I'm slow but I don't like leafy buds....

Speaking of meltdowns, yours was classic. Delete hundreds of posts and dramatically announce you're leaving for good.
It was derivative of Birdman's earlier work but epic nonetheless.
