Stones, there was quit some vegetarian food available at the festival, just not too much. So you'd have to live on corn thingies (you know, the thingy with corn on it, yeah?) and they also had vegetarian tacos which looked noice. Awesome Greek salads too - they get great feta in Hungary. I'm still a bit annoyed about missing Faithless, was really looking forward to it!

LastHamlet - did I ever tell you you're a nutter? You're a nutter. ;-)

I gave up on reading Amsterdam reports a long time ago, to be frank. As a local who's not THAT interested in our variety of coffeeshops I just can't be arsed reading the same things about the same pubs and clubs over and over again. So I thought Budapest would make a nice change.

Dano, I think I've worked the house rules out. It would appear one is allowed to post some flames in the Trip Report Forums, so long as one then refers to another thread flaming Trip Report Forum posts, so long as that thread is in the Bar. Apparently, that makes it OK.

Simple, really. You be sure to ask bollocks next time you're unsure of website etiquette, won't you?

Dano, you are losing your touch, man. Where's the analysis? I have met Anne up close and personal on more than one occasion, and she is a woman of wisdom, humour and discernment, but not lesbisch.

Anne, which did you like better, Buda or Pest? I heard Buda was better, because all the vermin live in Pest.

Piss off guys. Find another thread to trash.

Thanks for the report Anne. I had fleeting thoughts of driving into Eastern Europe on this trip and then suddenly came to my senses. Next year will have to do.

You're welcome, TAK and d3kings. I can definitely recommend Budapest (and Prague too, for that matter). They're great cities for a great price.

Crayon, I was told Buda also was much better and Pest was a bit of a ghetto, but I didn't see any of that at all. Buda is basically just a hill with some (of the best) tourist sight seeing things, but Pest is where the fiesta is going on. For restaurants, pubs and shopping, Pest is the place to be. I'm sure the outsides of Pest might be poor, but the center is great, really.

Pondering? Is that what they're calling it nowadays?
