you just inspired me to total it all up......

6 of the 30 varieties of weed i listed were given to me so they were free.
BUT
i purchased more than the amount listed on some of the strains.

TOTAL WEED PURCHASED:
atleast 586.90 EURO

TOTAL HASH PURCHASED:
atleast 279.70 EURO

TOTAL GEAR PURCHASED:
atleast 866.60 EURO

Damn, I'm glad those 9 nights hurt the wallet and not the lungs :)

Caminoreal - I actually first typed wasted and then changed it to spent haha.

Wow, Koopa, that is serious money mate. If you think it's well spent, good for you. :)

given the breadth and depth of your report, I'll let this slide :) I find the topic so subjective that I always need to try something for myself rather than taking someone else's word for it.

That said, you can add my raves about Anunnaki to those you received already. It puts the Willie Nelson in the shade. To me it was a very unique high that I hadn't really felt before from weed. And a nice taste too.

glad your lungs aren't hurting after that! I'm just thankful (in more ways than you can imagine) that I live here now. Granted, this whole work thing takes up a lot of my potential smoking time, so in that sense I am a bit jealous of the tourists :)

The Annanuki and the Red Diesel were my favs this year!

The Dutch Moonshine 1gm @ 25 Euros rocked my world too, even while shrooming it got me high. That's good!

Annanuki.

Postby oracle » Tue May 15, 9:08 pm

Agreed mate.................. that the Annanuki is an exceptional strain.

Unfortunately, it has recently come off the menu at the Grey Area. John is not sure when there
will be some more. So I said to 'im, 'Well mate, you'll just 'ave to grow some like errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........................ right now.
(Or those camourflaged bastards' outside will get you...............u know who I mean...................................muhahahahahahahahaha.............'

Best,

.oracle. (As sane as ever, but can't speak for Boney and Chici........)

Gotta love the descriptions Koopa, notably "not most potent but most lucid clean sativa." Not over-powering and lucid and clean are what it's all about for me. This list is most definitely a keeper.

No Cheese on the list I see, that's what I have at the moment in the UK.
Great list, salute to you.

thanks Nem....

i did get to drink some nice belgian, german, and dutch brews that i picked up at the "beer king" on palistraat too!

glad to hear the cheese is growing strong in the UK. homegrown fantasy had a clone smuggled from the UK back in 2005 but it has died. as for BLUE cheese......the mother used by bluebird produced its final batch in the beginning of April this year. the budtender at bluebird said it will be back "eventually" which makes me believe they will have one of their suppliers start some more big buddha blue cheese seeds.....

Anyway, you seem to be the king of strains here Koopa, I don't know how you do it. A truely great thread and kudos to you for taking the time to note all this down. May you have the most pleasant year until your next, this has got to be the best specialised thread I've seen.

im no haze smoker, its just to much for me.
i think from my last trip, the bubbleberry from GA was my fav weed cos it was just nice! not too overpowering, but still gave a good effect.

here here on the thread, i agree on the best thread this year!

Sly agrees with Johannes about the descriptions. Best list since Chuckje's Sure Things. Nice job Koopa, but how ever do you quantify a stone experience in a linear fashion? I can judge samples side by side, but from different days, different moods, same strains from different shops, with or without food/drink, how to compare? More research is required.

all valid questions and points....

of course the only fair way to sample the strains would be to try each while sober and thats not happening in 10 days :) although this is what i did with my best strains..... if i'd try a bowl and really knew it was "up there in the list" i'd save the rest of the bag and try it for the first smoke of the day the next day.

when purchasing in the shops, i look for....

a. calyx development
b. crystal amount
c. smell

when smoking you just have to take notice of what each strain excels in and what each strain lacks.

again i'm in know way saying that my preferences will mirror others, nor am i claiming that these are the best strains in amsterdam. these are merely the best 30 strains of weed and 15 strains of hash i came across while in town at one particular time. i know i posted this in another thread, but the best thing anybody can do is wait until a shop isn't busy and ask to see everything. then pick whatever looks best that day. thats what i did for the most part and i'd venture to guess that my 45 samples purchased were out of more than 250 + samples i looked at during the 10 days.

Regards,
Koopa

also remembered "white magic" from Coffeeshop Magic on Herengracht. One of the nicest widow crosses i saw this vacation. i'm fairly certain it was 7e per gram and am definately certain it was the most expensive strain on the menu. so if looking for some cheap smoke, check out Coffeeshop Magic.....
