Been to Betty Boops many times. Nice people there. I never tried their hash milkshakes. Too bad I can't be there with ya. I was in A'dam for several Feb 20's in the past. Throw a penny in the Singel for me. Then smoke a phatty!

Tot ziens!

Ya gotta get Sock Liners from REI or some camping place for your feet. I have the same problem you do and the sock liners have worked ever since I first used them. I pondered getting a walking stick (cane) for my last trip and saw some cheap ones in Delft when I was there but decided against it. All...

Great Updates!!

Glad Sherri came through for you. But did you sufficiently come through for her? :^) Sounds like the perfect trip to Amsterdam. A little bit of everything with extra in all the important places. Great detail.

Sounds like you're having a great trip. Read your other post. Nice reports. Wish I could be there with you now. I had AK47 Isolator from the Bushdoctor and it wasn't as potent as the Isolator KaliMist, which they were out of. Might be back in Feb or April, In April, Eirc Clapton plays Rotterdam clos...

Dogbreath in Amsterdam once again.
The gods must be pleased.

Is your trip going to slosh into the infamous Canibis Cup? Going to try any new coffeehouses?

Hope to see you there again sometime.

Trek - sorry to hear the news. But, as you can see, you have a lot of friends and family here who are firmly on your side. Do enjoy yourself. We are with you. The Escher Museum is cool. I went too last April. But their gift shop was a bit lacking, to me. It seemed like they had the usual Escher stuf...

Whew!

I, too, have experienced the gear getting stronger and stronger with every trip. When I'm in Amsterdam, when I look for a place to squat, I have to consider how easy it will be to wipe when I'm done. You were fortunate to find someplace so habitable.

Great report! I especially love all the British-isms like "rumpy-pumpy" and "Tuppence". I know there are others that don't have sexual reference but after reading your report for a while, instead of just reading words, I was hearing an English woman inside my head talking to me. Your experience at C...

Typical of trips to Amsterdam. The only papers you use are the ones to roll. I went in and out of so many coffeehouses, I couldn't remember them.

How was the Rijks? Is it still closing at the end of the year?

LTD - You're right; 4 of my 6 trips have been by myself. My first trip was probably the most expensive because we came in summer and I had my daughter with me. I had to assure her certain creature comforts that I could do without like the better hotel and eating at less divey places. The other time ...

I don't see how a lot of you do it. I always seem to be going on a budget then overspending. Budget travel has got me there 6 times in 6 years. I wouldn't put up with some of the conditions I have in Amsterdam elsewhere. But I wouldn't trade the experience either. I'm most interested in cheap airfar...

I just got done reading everything. Wow. What a sad story. It's too bad we didn't meet up. I might have missed you at DeKuil by a few hours. I checked into the room at 8 that night. I would have had a lot of empathy for you. A similar situation where I gave my all haunts me to this day and it's been...

Wow! Reading your report makes me want to head to the airport and go right back! I didn't eat any product this time. It kind of interferes with my overall high. Great report, wow; incredible detail. Do you keep notes as you go along, a journal? You must. I kept a written journal too but it is somewhat different than what I post for all to read. I'm surprised by the amount of smoke you go through too. I tend to get myself to "the plateau" and smoke enough to...

BTW - someone said they'd bring their parents to the Bluebird. I'd go to DeKuil long before the Bluebird. Also the Grasshopper. It's not just a coffeeh...

Well, I hope I'm mostly packed. I have to have one more time in a coffeehouse and here I am at Tops on Prinsengracht. I'm happy to report that their computers are much faster and updated. Also, when Down has no terminals open, Tops usually does. I did my big train ride today. Amsterdam to Utrecht to...

Great report. Great detail. I'm still here. You must have had a room on the street as opposed to me in the back where the noise is. Weather Finally Turned

It rained last night but I was fortunate to take the right bus back to the Abba Hotel. Thankfully there was no drilling this morning and I slept till 9, blew off breakfast and started prepacking for early AM Monday. I ended up eating at a place that comprises the southern corner next to the Bulldog ...

So I got to Zandvoort and watched the sun go down. I also walked up and down the beach looking for Yanks. I asked a woman with a dog if she know where it was. She said sure, you go over here, around there and keep walking down. I ended up following her and never did find Yanks. Thanks for the addres...

Hague and Beyond

Today I got out of Amsterdam and went to the Escher Museum. It's in the Queen's Grandma's old palace on a tree lined area it shares with the US Embassy. I followed these people into a cordoned off area and noticed they went into a trailer. I figured that couldn't be right and then I saw it was the s...

A 2003 Birthday Present to Me

When I heard them page Allison Wonderland at SFO, I knew this might be a special trip. When I got to London, one of the first people I saw when I came off the plane was someone in an Oakland Raiders hat. Another indicator. And last night, when the fellow next to me at Coffeeshop Down was on the Chan...

Excellent post, Michaelo. I'll make a note of the Moroccan Honey Hash. Are there two Bushdoctors? I seem to go to one right on theAmstel canal, jsut down the street from Vroom & Dreesman. Their isolator is worth any hassle.
