Yeah, LH, be sure that you keep the I.O.U. for my super space cake. I am really embarrased, but I just ran out of time and I didn't have a chance to make it for you before you departed. Upon your next arrival, I'll have one waiting for you at my place. That way you can enjoy the view and a cake that...

I have never had the space cake from Chocolata, but I can say that the bon bons do wonders. I really like the dark chocolate version that they make, one or two of those will have me ready for blastoff in short order. T:minus 10 minutes and counting... Dannymac, it was great meeting you and I enjoyed...

A gentleman never tells. Where did this notion that you are a gentleman come from? Despite the fact that other inquiring mind want to know I can't really see what sharing that particular details would have to offer. Personally, I think that this information is far better discovered on ones own. Aft...

We were a little worried about you buddy. I guess that the combination of travel, lack of real food and quality sleep, the beer, and the buds all caught up with you at once. But it looks like you fought through it with flying colors. Sorry I ended up missing the crawl. I had to got out to Arnhem to ...

I have to hand it to you Banks, this is one of the best trip reports that I have read in quite a while. Normally, I don't spend too much time reading this part of the forum while at work, but I ended up setting some time aside today just for this one. Great detail, and the fact that you are talking ...

I don't really think that falafels are particularly bad, but they might have been the culprit in your case. I eat them all the time and I never have a problem, but you might have gotten one from a dodgy shop. Maybe it was the fact that you were eating something for the first time and you might have ...

I have been living here for two and a half years and I never have had any problems with the water. Actually, when I first moved over I found a ranking of water quality and the Netherlands was ranked in the top five, behind most of the Scandinavian countries. If something makes you ill, I would be wi...

Brunoost is a brown goats cheese that is particular to Norway and a few parts of Sweden. It is usually served with breakfast and has a slightly sweet taste to it. It is very high in iron; and I believe that the numeric designators with the name have to deal with the iron content. My Norwegian friend...

This would be the good time to start a discussion: Would you rather have more frequent trips by budget spending or save up until you can go hog wild?" Personally, I really depends on where I am going. I think that Amsterdam by its very nature lends itself to a more budget approach. You can go sever...

You can even use strippenkart on trains! If there is tram or metro service between the train stations you can simply stamp the same number of zones as if you were riding the tram but board the train instead. You can use this in places like Amstel or Duivendrecht Muiderpoort etc... Just so you know!
