Re: Icelandair on strike.

So they canceled my flight 24 hours before takeoff. 6 hours later I was emailed a new itinerary. They booked me on a United flight with a 35 minute layover at Dulles in DC leaving in 10 hours. What could go wrong? According to the UA app, I would de-board at gate C1 and only have to make gate C6 a ...

Re: Brexit News

Another implication of the deal signed is that it maintains thw GFA. The GFA allows that should a poll be called, the population of NI can take a vote to decide if they want a United Ireland. If there is a hard Brexit and the North goes to shit, a United Ireland is highly likely. A poll today showe...

What happens when you 'Merkins go and visit your GP for something mundane like a cough or a sore leg? Do you get arse raped or is it free? Also how much does it cost for your prescriptions? Over here it's £7.50 per item or you can pay a one off fee of £100 that covers you for a full 12 months! I th...

Re: MORE TERROR, MORE PAIN...

I am making my first visit to Amsterdam since 2014 (the longest I have been without a visit) as I was diagnosed with bowel and liver cancer in early 2015. Prognosis is good so I am going back with Swin Jnr for a long weekend in late September. Off to see Ajax v Vitesse on the Sunday Good to hear th...

And so it continues ~ BARCELONA this time.... Where next? A major Dutch city must be on the list I'm afraid. Dam Sq and / or Damrak are sitting ducks for van attacks I must admit that I have thought the same and wondered which street in which city it could/would be. But I do hope I'm wrong :-)

Re: MORE TERROR, MORE PAIN...

I think cops with less guns is a good idea but it wouldn't work in America. American cops refuse to engage in hand to hand combat because they're lazy and fat and it's to challenging for them to take perps on with their bare hands. They pull their weapon early now as it's easier and they don't want...

Re: MORE TERROR, MORE PAIN...

Guns breed guns. :-) This makes no sense Let's assume you have 5,000 police officers and I order 5,000 guns and hand them out. How do more guns suddenly appear in the communities? Theoretically, yes. But the criminals, the drug dealers, the terrorists already have guns and will only bring them out ...

Question for the Britts, I understand your street cops still don't carry a gun and an officer had to defend herself with nothing but a baton during this last round of violence. Do you think it's time for all police to carry a gun to protect citizens in today's world? I can't speak for all of course...
