Rookies. I had a semi whitey and the staff were very helpful until I regained the ability to find my way back to where I was staying.

Syria

The bombing has started. I remember on 9-11 my reaction was I wonder how many people will die before this is done. I still do not know the answer to that question and now another ramp up of military action. I get so tired of all of the hatred. The military have made the choice to get involved so let...

Re: Keukenhoff garden

I took one of the tours with a very nice bus years back. The business was right across from the Van Gogh museum. A little expensive but a little splurge on vacation never hurt anyone. The gardens are marvelous.

Re: Coffeeshop Questions

It sounds like a grab and go at the Coffeeshop and then back to the houseboat for consumption will be a good option. I have visited most often towards the end of April and crowds at Grey Area and Barneys are what I am used to. I have avoided Smokeys due to negative reviews so no problem there. I may...

Coffeeshop Questions

I have not been on this forum in a long time. I used to love this place for information and such. I have a few questions regarding Amsterdam and Haarlem. Is there an updated map which shows the locations of shops that are currently in business? Also are there any major changes to coffeeshop regulati...

I have not been to the Netherlands for over 5 years now but I am planning a trip sometime this year. I would love to meet up with some of the people I met at the 10th anniversary...

Nice photos, thanks. It seems like alot of the early shots did not have many people. I was wondering if you planned it that way or if the euro exchange rate had made for less people?

Well yesterday was a fun day.I spent the day wandering around and stopped by Dekuil once again.Had a good meetup that night at 7:00 at Old Church. Still the best seats in town but watch out for the prices. For the cost of a couple of orange juices you could make a good down payment on a prostitute n...

Yesterday I went to the Heineken Experinence. It is not really all that but you do get three short beers and a free bottle opener at the end of the tour. Also they have a couple of neat areas where you can DJ or send an email home showing you having fun and singing along with folks singing in dutch....

Hi everyone. I started my trip missing my connection in houston and arriving in Schiphol 4 hours late. I know what you mean about the Amsterdam vibe. It hit me the first time I sat down in a coffeeshop and fired one up. Just sitting there smoking and watching people go by I got what I can only describe as a revelation. The feeling that this is how life should be. No one looking to throw me in jail fo...
