Re: The "whatever happened to..." thread

I have not been on here for a long time. Live in Spain in the winter now so only go to Amsterdam about once a year. I was using the Asoka forum and pop in to see Tak but have lost my connection.

Hotel De L'Europe opposite the Munt. The best time is about 5pm to 6pm free nibbles and sometimes the Piano player. They have a fabulous champagne cocktail list. I like the house one.

My uncle has lived in Kerkstraat for over 20 years, I could fall out of bed and be at the bar in 2 seconds so I have probably eaten there at least 25 times or more. The food, especially the ribs, has got nothing but praise in every review that I've read. I'm definitely going to eat there on my next trip in March. Go early or be prepared to queue. It...

Easyjet had a 6pm from Glasgow a few years ago. I used to leave the office at 4pm, 20 mins drive to airport. No luggage in Uncles by 7.30pm, go to party , dinner or whatever and catch the 6.30am and be at my desk by 9am.

I did this a lot back then.
