Why is it so important to smoke in your hotel room? I merely walked outside the hotel, turned left or right, walked about 50 yards away, and lit up a big bowl of hasj. No problem. No worries. No fine. Much easier than worrying about being ratted out by a chambermaid and paying the hotel extra a fin...

Ditto the Acro in May. Great location too, quiet but within 5 mins of Leidseplein.

*might* be back there in sept if recent offers of house/child sitters holds :o))))))

Peace, Des.

Always a nice way to finish a visit. Also gives you a lift and helps with the we're really "going home now" downer.

Three groups of mates are heading over for Halloween. Gits!

Back here in Oslo I have run out of goodies, so I might go there again this weekend… Oslo? ran out of goodies? when I was there (a few years back tho') Oslo was one of the most "available" cities, and also had pretty decent quality. Of course I'm talking about chocolate. Yes, small bars...

Nice report :o) I have to say though that I found the opposite at the weekend there, everything was too dry, esp anything we got from Noon. The Mellow Yellow Cheese was well cured as was some NYCD we got, but the rest were all overly dry IMO. I also had the same thing with strengths though I put tha...

Hi all, Ok so what follows is a short trip report for our visit at the weekend. Ok let's get started. Everything went well on saturday morning, bar the usual running about getting kids sorted and getting parked at the airport etc. The flight went well and before long we were on the train on our way ...

No problems smoking at all, the dude who was on late one night even donated some to the cause when we asked if there would be CSs open at 2am :o)..... Funky mural of Keef from the stones in the foyer too. First room was a bit stin...

Never had a problem with these places (though we usually do open windows etc): The Rokin (canal house anyways, tho that was a few years back!) The Acro (stayin there again in a week and a bit - in a nice quiet area near Leidseplein, rookies, noon etc) NH City Centre Hotel - no problems, nice hotel. ...

Oslo is expensive but I found it to be a great city. I lived there for a few months in the 90s, so I guess it may have changed since then - but from the sounds of things the prices are still crazy. When I was there your tram/subway card worked for the ferries to the islands in Oslo bay. You could ju...

Looking forward to hearing what you think of the Cirque, we're interested in going. I'd rather go see Porgy and Bess but my wife's not a huge opera fan (even porgy!) We'll miss the marionette performance on our next visit and Max is out of town the few days we'll be there :((.....though we'll probab...
