My friend and I have a theory about vla ruling the universe.

It's top secret, but you will find out some day. Until then, I shall prefer hopjesvla over any other sort.

Enjoy your stay in the city. For the first time in my life, I saw a verdamper today. It looked a bit silly if you ask me.

I think most 'horeca' places (pubs, restaurants, coffeeshops) will be open on Good Friday, as well as at least Easter Monday and perhaps Easter. I suppose most shops in the city center will be open on Friday as well. It's a national holiday so lots of people go to Amsterdam to go shopping.

AH is open 'till 7 pm on Friday, I checked. :)

You do have to be careful, look out for cars and other bikes. Amsterdammers aren't very fond of tourists on bikes, they're usually slow and riding on the wrong side of the street. I don't have a bell so I scream "Ring ring! Sorry!" when I want to pass and they always laugh at me. Bastards.

I'm up for a race. It'll be a race in the center though, I'm confident I'm better at avoiding red traffic lights and trams and cars than you are!

I wonder if hotels will be obligated to enforce the smoking ban too. It would make sense, as the reason behind the smoking ban is a healthy environment for employees.
