There's nothing wrong with the electoral college, it prevents New York and California from choosing the president every election cycle. Hillary lost because she's Hillary. Why can't it be done by a majority of the popular vote? It seems to me that Hillary was substantially more popular than Trump. ...

If you go out with ₤1 in coin and lose 2p, is that a substantial loss?

Re: Hillary Clinton: What Happened?

However, people do tend to forget that she quite comfortably won by actual vote share and it was the electoral college that fucked her, and Trump's voters were on average better-off than Clinton's. How often does that happen in US politics? Edit: found it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Uni...

The NHS isn't perfect, but it's so well loved by the majority of the electorate it would be political suicide for any party that tried to run it into the ground! I think Davis saw this as an opportunity to audition for the top job: bestride The Channel wrapped in a Union Flag and tell those bloody foreigners what's what, just like we did in 1940 when...we...there were all the resources of the Empire at Churchill's disposal and an actual war with an unpopular...

Re: MORE TERROR, MORE PAIN...

In an interview with the Guardian last year, band members said they had chosen the word Allah, Arabic for God, because they were seeking a “holy sounding” name and had not realised it might cause offence.
