Photos of Amsterdam May 2009

I've uploaded photos i took on my trip last month to webshots. Nothing new really, if you look at my older albums you'll see there pretty much the same. I take my camera once a year so that I can have an album on my work computer desktop.

Thanks for the trip report mate, i've enjoyed reading it. It too reminds me of my first trip 15 years ago. Amsterdam can be overwhelming at first but you get use to it. As you said, crossing the street can be a mission at first. You're in strange surroundings, you're stoned and there are trams, bike...

The funniest trip report for a while. When's your next visit to Amsterdam planned for? I'm looking forward to reading about it.

Re: Bloodstains, whities, police and other shit Part I

Best trip report for some time.
I mean no disrespect to you Des as you seem like a nice fella and I enjoyed reading your report very much. But Muckypup is right, your report reads like a review of an episode of Shameless.

Re: PRAGUE 2008....

Nice trip report UKBL, looking forward to reading the rest. It was dusk by now and I joined the crowds near the old town square as the Astronomical clock struck the hour. It always amuses me that the tourists clap and applaud at the end of the display as if the characters were real people! I visited...

Nice photos, thanks. It seems like alot of the early shots did not have many people. I was wondering if you planned it that way or if the euro exchange rate had made for less people? There wasn't many tourists around to be honest. I went from Sunday until Friday, most people turn up over the weeken...

That pavement tile is on Zwanenburgwal on the other side of the canal opposite the Stopera if you want to see it for yourself.

Amsterdam March 2008 Photos

I've uploaded photos of my trip to Amsterdam last month onto Webshots, if anybody would like to see them. Nothing exciting, just scenery shots. In fact quite a few photos are exactly the same as pictures I've taken on previous trips. Anyways, link here: http://travel.webshots.com/album/563019877HCchGM

You're right nellie. It's Sint Jacobsstraat, the pedestrian street that runs between N.Z. Voorburgwal and Nieuwendijk.

I've never eaten at Cafe De Klos before but the more I've read about the place, the more I do want to eat there. The food, especially the ribs, has got nothing but praise in every review that I've read. I'm definitely going to eat there on my next trip in March.

Re: A new trip report for ya!

Nice trip report mate. I really enjoyed reading it. I guess the best thing about visiting Amsterdam quite often is that you don’t feel under pressure to get alot done in the day, as the chances are you have been to all the museums and stuff of that nature so its all good just to wander round and b...

Great videos Chili Ed, thanks for the links. Looks like you're having an enjoyable time. I saw some of the parade about 5 years ago, they put a lot of effort into some of the floats and dance routines. Others don't put so much effort in, just a bunch of blokes dancing in their underpants to crappy e...

I've enjoyed your trip report so far, thanks for taking the time to write one. I hope you don't mind but i straightened out your Febo photo with Photoshop. LOL, I've seen a photo like that many times, a group of stoned friends posing outside Febo.

Nice pictures Purp, thank you for letting us see them. I particularly like the late evening ones with the glorious skies I'll never forget how amazing the sunset looked over Amsterdam that evening. December 2006 Photos

There's a link HERE to photos of my Amsterdam trip last month. Nothing exciting, mainly scenary shots. Took a few photos from the roof of Nemo, I've never been up there before and the view over the city skyline is stunning, well worth the walk. I took quite a few more photos but it was so windy, for...

Some great photos there, looks like you had a good trip. For a first time visitor it looks like you got around the city well, most people don't make it beyond the grachtengordel on their first visit. Looking forward to your trip report, interesting to get the perspective of a first-time visitor.
